Experimenting with: Garnier Color Naturals hair dye 7.1 Ash blonde + 8.1 Light ash blonde

I don't usually share stories about my hair and makeup adventures but I noticed that there isn't much info and personal experience stories about Garnier Color Naturals hair dye in English (most of them are in Russian), and that's why I'm going to tell you how it turned out with me. This is a picture of my natural hair 2 years ago.

I have naturally dark brown (almost black) hair. I'd dyed my hair about a month ago using a Japanese hair dye called Prettia Liese in the color Natural ash, and the results weren't very visible (only a little visible in sunlight I guess). Basically none of my friends even noticed that I dyed my hair T_T The change was that subtle. Too subtle for my liking really. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that I should've used a lighter color + I probably needed 2 boxes (I only got one).

Results:

and then I colored my hair 2 days ago using Garnier Color Naturals in the colors 7.1 ash blonde mixed with 8.1 light ash blonde. I have long hair (past my chest) so I used 1 box of 7.1 and 2 boxes of 8.1. Needless to say, I ended up with a light brown? color that I actually liked very much!

And here are the results:

Obviously the color on the boxes wasn't even close to the color I got, but if you look at the color results for different hair colors on the side of the box, you'll notice that the color Garnier predicted for my starting hair color was pretty accurate!
It's only been 2 days since I dyed my hair, but so far my hair is in a very good state. It was VERY frizzy right after the hairdresser washed it, so I went back home and put some warm olive oil on it, because my hair is naturally very dry and needs tons of oils to behave <.<.

So there you have it! I hope this was helpful.

Do leave a comment if you tried this hair dye on dark virgin hair or if you have any other questions :)
